KARACHI: An amount of Rs 41 crore has mysteriously gone missing from the bank account of an overseas Pakistani in Karachi.
According to Express News, Fahad Butt and his family, who live abroad, deposited USD 866,000 and Rs 1 crore in cash at the Karachi branch of the foreign bank in 2017.For years, Fahad Butt and his family continued to receive benefits from the bank, but in November this year, when Fahad Butt arrived to withdraw money from the bank, it was discovered that the account was empty.The bank staff responded to the victim's complaint that he had withdrawn the money himself. On the written request of the victim's family to investigate the bank's non-cooperation and fraud, the FIA sought records from the bank concerned.
